Why agencies move off EngineHire
EngineHire is a capable, established platform and its customers rate its support highly. But it quotes privately, its price is set by how many administrators you add, and with Sitter Pro now redirecting to it, the category has one dominant vendor nobody can price-check. Agencies tend to look elsewhere for one of three reasons.
You cannot compare what you cannot see
Nothing on EngineHire's site, Capterra, G2 or GetApp carries a figure. Every conversation starts with a demo. Rostavo publishes its price per seat, and you can sign up without speaking to anyone.
A second admin should not double the bill
A common request in EngineHire reviews is "more admins included in the monthly fee". Rostavo charges $49 for each colleague after the first seat, half the first-seat price, and never charges for a worker, a candidate, a family login or a client login.
Small agencies pay near enterprise money
A one-person agency has reported around $200 a month. Rostavo is $99 for one seat, and the founding-agency price is $49.50.
Where EngineHire is the better choice
EngineHire has been doing this far longer, has a deeper US payroll and tax story, and its support reputation is genuinely good. 4.8 on Capterra. We do not run payroll at all and do not intend to: Rostavo hands your verified hours and gross pay to whatever you already run it in, which is a smaller promise and one we can keep in every country. If you are a large US staffing operation with several administrators and complex payroll, that maturity is worth paying for, and you should. What happens to Sitter Pro customers?
Sitter Pro and EngineHire announced in March 2024 that they had joined forces, and sitter.app now redirects to enginehire.io. Neither has announced a shutdown and we will not imply one, but if you chose Sitter Pro and did not choose a quote-only platform, that is the moment to look at the alternatives.
